A once-ever ritual exclusive to the chaos goddess Eris, normally performed on the twelfth floor. Some gods can only claim the Ascendent throne when no mortals are present, so Eris summons mortal witnesses to the ceremony to cause chaos; the witnesses are made invulnerable and held in a Witness state, brought to her in a giant pile. Mordecai explains that Eris panic-cast it early on the ninth floor and botched it, accidentally rendering the feral god Meatus indestructible and trapping tens of thousands of crawlers and soldiers.
