Lore · debuts Book 7, Chapter 43 — “Changing the Channel”
Entertainment-Channel Loophole
renaming shows to dodge the comms ban
A communication exploit Odette exposes at the warlord council. Two-way tunnel contact and live external feeds are banned, but the tier-three galactic news-media upgrade, owned by every off-world team except the Princess Posse and Team Retribution, still shows a live directory of program names. Each team renames its own entertainment channels (at ~30,000 credits per hot update) to spell out messages to allies outside the dungeon; Tagg's channel changed names seven times in an hour, ending as ‘Yes. We have Deactivated the Infected Hardware.’ The AI admits it ‘loves a good loophole’ and won't close it unsolicited, so Carl spends an Emergency Action Item to shut it down.
