The Death of Eva Sigrid

After the massacre, Katia hunts the buried, dying Eva Sigrid (51 player-killer skulls), cuts away her escape-ring hand and poison rapier, and runs her through with Eva's own old sword, finally hearing her beg. But Eva has one last cruelty: she'd hidden the regenerated Enchanted Crown of the Sepsis Whore (Donut's long-lost Floor-1 tiara) on her armor and, with her dying hand, sets it on the bare-headed Katia (the Apothecary's protective hat had been given to Carl instead). The unique crown binds to Katia, so now both she and Donut are royal heirs who must slay the entire Blood Sultanate to leave the ninth floor. Katia also carries two secret burdens: the addictive blitz sticks and the memory of the baby Annie.
