The Garden of Deliverance

Two hundred-odd small potted plants under a single large sheet of glass in the guild common room, one plant bound to the life of each crawler who left for the Pineapple Cabaret. Ronit designed the binding, Mordecai built the case because the sluggalos had begun eyeing the collection, and Donut supplied the name. The readout is deliberately simpler than Li Na's dread cactus, which is the only plant with the complicated messaging system: a plant that wilts or crumbles to dust means its crawler is dead, a plant that flowers means its crawler is out of the dungeon. It is the only channel that reports on the Cabaret at all, since not even the showrunners can see inside.

• Chapter 73 — Mordecai builds a large glass terrarium for the two hundred-odd life-bound plants after the sluggalos start eyeing them, and Donut names the result; wilting or dust means the crawler is dead and a bloom means they are out of the dungeon, which is the only way anyone inside will learn what happened at the Cabaret.
• Chapter 82 — Carl's first question after working out his idea was whether the garden was still intact; Mordecai confirmed it was there with all its plants alive, which is what made contingency three possible.
