Gnomish Drop Bear
Gnome fast-attack biplane · Contraption
One of the Dirigible Gnomes’ earliest fast-attack planes: an open-air, twin-engine biplane with a rabid-koala face painted on the nose, drop-launched from the Wasteland. Famously underpowered: damaged Drop Bears often can’t climb home even after ditching payload, so they carry quick-escape balloons that leave them sitting ducks. It doesn’t drop bombs; its payload is “something much more entertaining.” The one that strafes Carl gets driven off by a hob-lobber and deploys its escape balloon.
Book 4 appearances
- Chapter 3 — Strafes the trio in the dunes and drops two deployment eggs; only one is investigated, revealing a dead Feral Goose neighborhood boss inside — the second egg is left unopened.
