Hungry Eyes Village

The settlement the racing teams stage out of. Its roundabouts sit under a blue sky with a red sun, ringed by tall trees and mown grass that make the place smell like a suburb, and a narrow walking path from each cul-de-sac ends at a shimmering arched portal. The threshold is clear enough to see through and too narrow for a truck; beyond it lies a neon-filled settlement.

• Chapter 12 — The village announces itself the moment the garage door opens, along with a second notice naming the roundabout as the team's own.
• Chapter 14 — Carl and Donut arrive through the shared portal and cross town to the bar street; Donut calls the pink-teal-purple palette garish.
