Klonder

One of the guards on the remodelled Desperado Club's door, which is no longer cretins and gnolls but mostly orcs, hobgoblins and trolls — the same sorts of monsters now sitting at the tables, only larger. When the security detail surrounds the thirty crawlers, Klonder is the one who says out loud what the rest are thinking: Hamed will kill us. Clay-Ton's answer, that these are late-stage crawlers on the tenth floor and stopping them gets you killed, is enough. Klonder checks his fellow guards, takes a step back, bows to Chris Andrews and welcomes them to the Desperado Club. He is not with the mimics, and when the room comes alive the guards are as surprised as anyone; most of them run.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 85 — Voices the guards' fear of Hamed, backs down when Clay-Ton warns that late-stage crawlers cannot be stopped, and bows Chris and the crawlers into the club.
• Chapter 86 — Among the guards against the back wall when the room turns; one of that group is a mimic but the rest are taken by surprise, and most of them flee back into the casino rather than fight.
