Kuraokami

ice goddess · the worked example

A minor ice goddess with, by her own worshipper's estimate, exactly one worshipper. Kuraokami is how the Cookbook teaches godhood as a mechanic rather than a mystery: Crawler Sinjin's 15th-Edition annotation walks through her terms, and they are miserable. Touch a corpse with ice once a day. Five days running earns an unspecified boon; miss one and she turns her back, miss two and you are debuffed, miss three and you fall from grace with a coin-flip chance of being smited. Quitting is an automatic smite. Worst of all, gods can message their faithful, and hers will not shut up — her sponsor, bored, kept demanding Sinjin say out loud that she is the prettiest goddess.
