Menerva

The second former crawler Akuma names, partnered with Herot on the seventeenth floor and the pocket dimension hidden behind it. She never wrote a cookbook edition and Tipid has never heard of her, guessing she predates his time as a game guide. Rosetta says almost nothing about her but asks Carl a dozen questions, which he reads as recognition.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 38 — Named with Herot as the pair whose exploit could let NPCs, and possibly crawlers, survive the end of the season.
• Chapter 39 — The one name that visibly registers with Rosetta; Carl decides that if she gave everything up to work with Herot she is an ally, and starts looking for a way to reach her.
• Chapter 55 — Menerva is on the seventeenth floor in charge of the NPCs building and occupying the Backstage Death Maze, a workforce that has been training for hundreds of seasons against crawlers who were never supposed to arrive.
