Piranhas

The pack mob of the river the System named the I-Sure-Hope-These-Piranhas-Haven't-Learned-to-Fly River, which they have. Each fish is level 50, unusually strong for a swarm attacker, and instead of bursting against the truck's shield the way the cannibals do they sizzle, cling for a moment and drop off dead. Donut's Fresh into Salt spell finishes the rest of the shoal.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 41 — Dr. Metcalf's route crosses their river, which has no bridge but reads shallow enough on the map that the tire and gyro upgrades should carry the truck over.
• Chapter 44 — The piranhas do indeed fly; the truck kills most of them on the crossing and Donut clears the water with Fresh into Salt.
