The engineering programme Carl's interface credits with making the galaxy traversable, and the reason the Plenty matter. Bathin is named as one of its chief engineers. Orren tells Carl that the goats judging him are the Plenty's leadership, and Prime Minister Victory adds that they control the tunnelling system, are the only ones who could shut it off, and have not answered a single Syndicate message about the emergency.

- Chapter 89 — The mandatory broadcast opens on what Rosetta reads as a visual representation of a tunnel node, with small dots she takes for communication pinholes, before the view crosses to Earth.
