Bathin
Caprid · Chief engineer of the tunnel project
A caprid on the Plenty of Plenty panel with a strange, fat, jowly face unlike any of the others. When Carl's interface comes back on it identifies him as one of the chief engineers of the Plenty Tunnel Project. He is the one who explains what Justice Light's trap actually did, names Kyryap and Krakaren Prime inside Club Scolopendra, and is cut off by another goat clearing her throat the moment he starts calling the place a parody of the Plenty's partner.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 28 — Judges Carl worthy and answers his question about the end of the previous floor, giving the crawlers their first account of what escaped the Nothing and where it went.
- Chapter 29 — The jowly-faced goat breaks first, letting out a humanlike wail rather than a Prepotente scream; Carl also picks Gamori out as the goat who had cleared her throat while Bathin was explaining the Justice Light trap.
