Potion Compounding
Mordecai's way around potion cooldowns
Something new Mordecai has been working on: several potions compounded together into one dose, so a crawler who needs all of them at once is not blocked by the cooldown between drinks. Its first use on the page is the singing dose he mixes for the guild-entrance duet, which lands three separate buffs on Carl in a single swallow and keeps him and Donut in sync. Donut's objection is aesthetic — a compounded performance is not a pure one, though she rates it above lip-synching.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 56 — Donut explains that Mordecai compounded several potions together to keep her and Carl in sync; Carl notes the compounding is new work of Mordecai's and a way past the cooldown between doses.
