Slit, the Feral Minor Demon

A Level-200 feral minor demon loosed into the Lacuna: a fat, neckless, mascara-caked horror reeking of cigarettes and wielding a lightning chain-whip with links the size of semi-trucks. One of a demon harem banished into the Nothing during the original Ascendency, Slit hunts Samantha (Psamathe) over an old jealous grudge about a shared “king.” Carl settles it by flinging Samantha’s head 50 km with his new head-tosser; Slit gives chase and is plucked up and torn in half by a summoned multi-armed god. Samantha warns that Slit’s sister, Gash, and the rest of the Nothing’s demon harem are still out there.

Book 4 appearances

• Chapter 34 — Storms bubble 543 screaming for Samantha; baited 50 km away by the thrown doll head and ripped apart by a god.
• Chapter 33 — Phases one and two free ~1,500 crawlers; Borant blocks most secondary god-summonings after one nearly looses the extinction-level Ysalte.
