Chandra's Taurin Associates

Two Taurin enforcers on Princess Chandra's payroll. Their first assignment is to find and eliminate Quasar, Carl's Nullian lawyer and the one competent obstacle to her filings; the fee is sixty thousand credits plus expenses and they are already on their way to him. Their second is to call on the families of the Donut Holes' founders, an approach Chandra rates effective because some of them have small children. They insist on meeting in person.

• Chapter 0 — A message from them blinks onto Chandra's interface seconds after Donut announces her non-bounty, asking questions about the job and for Chandra's coordinates. Chandra tells herself the timing is a coincidence and cannot work out how they could be watching or why they would hold a media pass; the message is what turns her apprehension into terror.
