Tupa

A god or goddess worshipped by both Osvaldo and Filipe L. Carl has never heard of Tupa and cannot say which. The faith is what makes Team Flamengo impossible to evacuate through the Pineapple Cabaret, a realization Carl calls devastating.

• Chapter 40 — Named at the starting block; the discovery collapses Carl's hope of getting Osvaldo's team out with everyone else.
• Chapter 41 — Osvaldo names Tupa as the god behind his first memorial-crystal quest, says the crystal was rejected as corrupted, and notes that the god has since picked up a wealthy sponsor.
