Vampirism & Glamoured Fragments
The grim rules of dungeon vampirism, revealed as Miriam Dom’s curse spreads through the Selva. Two sunsets after a vampire’s messy kill, the scattered body parts reanimate as “glamoured fragments”: each piece carries its own level and crawls to find its kin. The next chapter deepens the horror: reunited parts sum their levels into a far stronger minion (Allister’s cookbook note calls the curse a study in “amplified evil,” describing vampires as intelligent, fast and spell-casting), and a body 70% reformed becomes something deadly (loose scraps instead congeal into a Shambling Berserker). Big Tina, freshly infected, gathers two-days-dead corpses into sorting piles to raise an army. It’s why the Plenty and Apothecary armed Carl and Donut against vampires; Mordecai counters with “Holy Goopers”: Emberus shrine-water + healing potion + coagulant that, lit by Torch, turn vampires to lint.
