Creature · debuts Book 5, Chapter 28 — “Big Tina”
Big Tina
The boa-wearing juvenile dino · the Recital’s culprit
An enormous three-toed dinosaur (a footprint big enough for a sex-doll head to sit inside) who is, per Areson, “just a kid.” She wears a pink feather boa, carries a long-drained zap wand, has a bad temper, and loves to eat ursine. Big Tina runs with Kiwi’s Mongoliensis but keeps wandering off to attack the river towns, forcing the pack to retrieve her: she’s the “bad, bad girl” behind the assaults on Point Mongo and the target the System finally names in the Recital quest: kill her, or find out why she’s the way she is and fix it.
Book 5 appearances
- Chapter 28 — Named as the Recital’s culprit: a boa-wearing juvenile dino who keeps slipping the Mongoliensis pack to maul the river towns.
- Chapter 44 — Her tragic origin: Tina was an 8-year-old ursine ballet prodigy whose cleric father stormed her secret recital, beat her mother near to death and broke her sparkle wand, then Scolopendra’s attack transformed the “sinning” ursine women into dinosaurs. Tina is the only child who turned; her mind gone, she hunts ursine. The quest: kill her, or let her finish her dance.
- Chapter 44 — Now a fledgling vampire (infected by Miriam Dom), she rampages a town and works a spell to reanimate two-days-dead body parts into an army: the threat spiraling floor-wide.
- Chapter 52 — Confronted in person: a 15-foot, Level-80 City Boss in a blood-soaked tutu and grown-in tiara, clutching her drained sparkle wand, now cured of vampirism (Immortalized) and trailing the party. Her boss info panel reveals her full tragedy; the quest stands: fight her behind 30+ raptors, or “reawaken the child” and give her the dance she never got.
- Chapter 73 — The Recital completes: Donut’s “I Take It All Back” potion reverts Kiwi to a (pregnant) ursine mid-show, and Tina, seeing her mother restored, finally speaks, crying “Mommy?” Quest Complete. She is later flung to the ninth floor with the teleported castle, still a dinosaur but reunited with her mother.
