The Sledge’s carnage teleport
A powerful teleportation spell granted to the cretin mercenary the Sledge as part of the Gate collateral deal (Quasar’s idea, and the same spell Remex the Grand once used for a legendary dungeon exit). Quasar promises the showrunners, factions, fans and even the System AI will all fall over themselves to let Carl pull it off, because ‘that spell always leads to carnage. Everybody likes carnage when it’s not them.’
Book 5 appearances
- Chapter 3 — Granted to the cretin mercenary the Sledge in the Gate collateral deal: Carl’s plan to get the changelings down a floor.
- Chapter 56 — Fully explained (15-day flashback): it teleports a whole town one floor down, but lands it in the worst spot, a monster nest, and everything killed rises as Children of Inpewt revenants that hunt the marked villagers and caster. On Scolopendra floors it skips floors (Remex went 6→9), so the changelings will land straight on the deadly ninth.
