Damascus Steel

A Level 75 Ifrit working as assistant lead dancer at the Penis Parade (the male strip club atop the Desperado Club) and the doorman to the hidden Guild of Suffering behind it. Mostly humanoid with Arabic features but fuzzy at the edges, steaming off his skin, with pupil-less white eyes, tiny baby-goat horns and a body that feels like solid metal. He carries the same spiderweb elbow tattoo as Carl (the Guild's mark) and knows both Donut and Katia. After teasing Carl, he walks him through the back-cubicle portal into the Guild's hall and, to protect his cover, later has Carl fake a limp on the way out as if they'd hooked up.

• Chapter 23 — Meets Carl at the Penis Parade and escorts him through the hidden portal into the Guild of Suffering.
• Chapter 24 — Revealed via Katia and Carl's conversation to have told Carl to limp on his way out, threatening to take out his knee, to make it look like they'd been messing around.
• Chapter 34 — Reveals he and his brother Anaconda are the never-crawler sons of the naturals Astrid and the Night Wyrm, gets Carl to hire the doomed Penis Parade crew as mercenaries, and leaves to avenge his mother on his father.
