The Fall of the Havana Cons

The grim end of the Cuban stairwell trio. When Carl repairs Yemaya's shrine instead of Ogun's, the blacksmith god is summoned in person to punish his worshippers for the betrayal. He crushes Anton's head underfoot (Carl's desperate Black Nimbus only strips Anton from Ogun's protection, not his wrath), then strips Paz of the ability to heal his smite-debuff and departs, sparing Carl alone out of respect for Emberus. As Paz bleeds out he warns Carl about Sister Ines's charm and her past as a convent poisoner, then refuses further potions; rather than let him go, the grief-stricken nun flags him into a common card. Carl, over Donut's urging, resolves only to separate from Ines and warn others, not kill her.
