Jasha

A level 65 bugbear on Team Free Love, and the one who does most of the talking after the crash. He throws away his tie-dyed headband in disgust, which Donut immediately pockets, and lays out what the team was promised: win, and they are taken somewhere they never have to fight again. He is also the one who explains the memories, the recycled assignments and the cold in between, and who calls Carl's tow offer honorable.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 4 — Confirms Alevtina is dead, explains that a team cannot cross the finish line except in its own vehicle, and tells Carl and Donut that the prize for winning is freedom and a real place to live.
• Chapter 12 — Donut sniffs at his kiddie pool on the way past; he is still passed out when the Wild Hunt has come and gone.
