A level 75 bugbear Jack of all Trades racing the first heat of the tenth floor in a red minivan. He survives the crash that kills his teammate Alevtina, sits on the asphalt with a burned arm and a cigarette, and tells Carl he never thought they had a real chance. He is one of the two NPCs who explain what the dungeon does with its NPCs between floors, and he admits that losing would at least mean it was finally over.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 4 — Fights the fire in his overturned minivan, accepts Carl's improvised water hose, and asks Carl outright whether he is one of the people from this world.
• Chapter 12 — He hails Carl and Donut across the grass, keeps handing Chiyome fresh cans through her whole briefing, and decides out loud that the day calls for something stronger than beer.
