Creature · debuts Book 6, Chapter 55 — “The Madre de Aguas”
Madre de Aguas
Level 125 City Boss · the “Mother of Waters”
The “Mother of Waters”: a whale-sized freshwater boa, some 17–18 feet tall coiled, that Cuban legend says guards the rivers and can control every creature within shouting distance. This iteration is the “batshit murder machine” kind. A Level-125 City Boss, she was nearly flagged days earlier by Sister Ines, who instead glamored her with a level-15 Word Weaver poem and through her enslaved an army of seals, crabs, fish and zombies. When Samantha's teleport shatters the charm, the freshly-bitten (and now pre-zombified) Madre awakens enraged with the nun still perched on her head, and the System freezes the field into a live-announced Survival Royale boss battle. Carl's Protective Shell blasts her clear; she survives, casting from a distance.
Book 6 appearances
- Chapter 55 — Dropped onto Carl by Samantha’s teleport, she wakes from the broken charm and the field locks into a Survival Royale boss battle.
- Chapter 56 — Bucks like a wild horse with Sister Ines clinging to her head, nearly swallows the summoned Paz—who dissipates in her jaws when Sister Ines is forced to flee—and is blasted away by Carl’s Protective Shell.
- Chapter 58 — Succumbs to her zombism curse, falls and rises, and the Demon Prince Amayon slips into her body.
- Chapter 60 — As Amayon’s shell she pours Sheol fire into the sky over Havana, her body raised vertical like a fire-spewing spire, bent to Sister Ines’s will and bellowing for Carl.
- Chapter 62 — Revealed as the shell of a level-250 demon lord: Amayon casts a wide-area soul portal through her to pay his way back to Sheol.
