The Nose Candy Star Dusters
Flavour mascots · the Coblyn doll line
The marketing spine of the Coblyn Corporation's toddler product. Every flavour has its own mascot with a matching doll, and three of them are packaged as an all-girl band: Sally Speedball, the blueberry one, who ships with a twelve-pack of press-on bump nails and two free hits; Toot-Toot, the grape one; and Belushi. The System's product write-up names Sally Speedball as its favourite. The dolls sold well enough that the knockers took the toy line as proof there was money in children, which is how the drug came to exist at all — and when the steel mill's elemental magic leaked into the workshop, it was these same dolls that stood up and started swarming racers, still reciting their patter.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 63 — Introduced in the Toddler Cocaine description as the flavour mascots' all-girl band — Sally Speedball, Toot-Toot and Belushi — each flavour carrying its own mascot and matching collectible doll.
- Chapter 64 — A Toot-Toot doll hitches a ride into Carl's truck with its hand melted into Corky's suit, introduces itself by name and starts dispensing advice about false accusations. The System labels it a Grape-flavored Cocaine Elemental.
