The exit two hundred qualifying crawlers take off the racing floor, gathered in the main square at Hungry Eyes because the guild common room cannot hold them. Around five hundred people come, only two hundred leave, and the mood is closer to a gathering after a funeral than a send-off: quiet talk, hugging, cookies from Louis, teapots from Daniel Bautista and a boom box nobody has switched on. Nobody can say which half is in more danger. Florin stays and releases anyone from the 101st who qualifies and wants out; Bautista goes only after Louis and Britney consent; Tran, Zhang and Archie go; Osvaldo cannot, because he worships a god. The final count is 227 shipped out inside purchased cleaner bots, and every cleaner bot on the market sells the moment it is listed.

- Chapter 71 — Two hundred qualifying crawlers and their friends fill the main entrance square at Hungry Eyes for the goodbye; Florin stays, Bautista leaves with Louis and Britney's consent, Tran, Zhang and Archie go with the qualifying 101st, and Osvaldo is barred because he worships a god.
- Chapter 72 — Carl salutes the three futures in the square at once, those escaping, those staying to race and take a deal, and those hoping to reach the parade, before Elle turns the farewell into the trap that exposes the impostor among them.
- Chapter 73 — Imani closes the count at 227 sent to the Cabaret, including Zhang, Tran, Daniel Bautista, Archie and Randall 3; Carl's cleaner bot held forty and Bobby Montague's held 105, and every bot on the market was purchased immediately.
- Chapter 87 — The transfer executed on the page: Imani turns the wheel to the right spot, steps on the broken-off button and holds the wheel in place, the hole opens in the floor, Carl examines the portal and finds it the same as last time, and Louis jumps.
