Item · debuts Book 8, Chapter 90 — “Leaving the Royal Court”
Requite Dahlia
Cultivated bloom · black, gold, magenta and white
The flower Donut settles on for the Vengeance procession, after Prepotente points out that a druid does not need papier-mache and her Sprout Forest ability turns out to cover a very wide array of plants rather than only trees. Chosen in consultation with Mordecai, it blooms in four complementary colours, black, gold, magenta and white, which happen to match the mount blankets and hats her Gurkha class supplies and so give a stolen assortment of vehicles and mismatched animals one deliberate look. The crew affixes thousands of them over every square inch of the procession using a potion of Prepotente's. Donut is not actually a fan of the colour scheme; she just likes that everything matches.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 89 — Jurgen leans into the safe room to report that Donut's flowers have finished blooming, and she orders everyone off the television and into the garage as decorators.
- Chapter 90 — Picked after a consultation with Mordecai for its four colours; the gremlins and engineers spend the build window fixing thousands of the blooms to every vehicle, mount and float with one of Prepotente's potions.
