A Surgical Crawler Kill
Syndicate strategy · destabilise and collapse
The reasoning behind sending an operative into the dungeon to murder a crawler. Captain Fresh states that the Syndicate is losing an open fight, that the System AI stops everything they throw at it and answers in kind, and that they are trying to destroy the entire system before it spreads any further. They already have assets in place, but none among the crawlers. The theory is that one surgical kill will destabilise the whole group into a systematic collapse, kicking the Ascendency game off early and letting those other assets move quickly. Fresh will not say more than that, calls it a suicide mission to the operative's face, and frames the alternative as extinction.
