Jacobus

Imani's Legendary eighth-floor card summon, made permanent by Eris's random effect and no longer usable as a card at all. He is a fist-sized humanoid, absurdly muscular, with flowing blond hair, a white loincloth and wings that beat too fast to see, and he speaks Danish in a deep accented voice. The System's write-up explains that a tooth fairy buys loose teeth from children and that Jacobus, being the reverse, does the opposite. He was fast enough and vicious enough to be a terror during Faction Wars, limited only by a very short summoning window, and that limit is now gone.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 36 — Jacobus appears spinning around Imani's head seconds after Eris departs, says two things to Carl in Danish that Imani cuts off with a warning that they are in a safe area, then makes for Prepotente and is snatched out of the air; she tells him he will not be doing that to any of her friends, and he swears at her in Danish.
• Chapter 59 — Jacobus follows Imani off toward the garage when she leaves to work on Dong's curse.
• Chapter 60 — Jacobus inspects the dying Dong at close range, prying his lips open to peer inside until Imani yells him off.
• Chapter 82 — Jacobus was turned into a starfish by Scolopendra's first attack, and Imani had to drop splooge on him to keep him alive.
• Chapter 84 — Jacobus is temporarily a tiny red starfish, carried in Imani's right hand and squirting water.
• Chapter 90 — Still a starfish and set to remain one for a while, so Imani leaves the reverse tooth fairy behind in the safe room rather than take him into the arena.
