Lil’ Mello Haze
The level 30 sluggalo that bursts out of a boil on Carl's back in the Vendor Village, showering blood and pus and landing on the road with a splatch. Carl had deliberately kept his slugpox running, held in check by his Emberus ring, on the argument that the last one had saved his life — and had then left Mordecai's cure potion sitting on the crafting table with the backpack. Mello arrives raspier-voiced than the usual sluggalo and noticeably smaller than his predecessor despite outlevelling him, which Carl puts down to his own reduced size; he wears a backward baseball cap hanging off his eye sockets and carries the head of a mace where the standard hatchet would be. Carl calls for him to follow and then barks after him, and he wanders off in the opposite direction without responding. Imani cures the slugpox a few minutes later, and Carl admits he was fond of the little fuckers.

- Chapter 84 — Bursts from a boil on Carl's back in the abandoned Vendor Village, introduces himself, ignores Carl's calls and barks and wanders off the other way; Imani cures Carl's slugpox shortly afterwards, so there is no third slug.
