Linus's Goodbye Party
The send-off held in the two hours before the sixth heat, because once the race starts Linus will not be allowed into town between the sixth and seventh heats and there is no later chance. Elle has Bautista babysitting him, and he is already out in the crowd handing round tea Bautista taught him to make. It was Linus's own idea to hold it where the crawlers are gathering anyway to be picked as volunteers for the Pineapple Cabaret run: Tran and Zhang have chased the NPCs out of the commons of Hungry Eyes and set up tables, Louis is working the crowd, Florin is choosing who goes, and the whole thing turns into a large party even for the people who want nothing to do with the escape plan. Elle admits she will miss some of the things the little pervert says.

- Chapter 84 — Elle cites the things she and Carl said at the fuck-Linus party as the standard the Russian crawlers fell short of when they took the offer and then tried to trick them anyway.
