Lucia Mar’s Lasso

A weapon Carl has never seen Lucia use before, produced the moment she shifts into her skull-faced hag form during the casino ambush. The rope is gold, Wonder Woman style, but the air inside the open loop shimmers, and Carl's trap sense picks it up as a doorway-style portal. Anything the loop passes over is separated from itself: she drops it over an amorphic blob that had been one of the gamblers at the empty table, and the part of the creature that goes through the ring is simply gone. A yank snaps the portal shut and cuts the thing in half, leaving the lower body to flop over and spill globular entrails on the casino floor.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 86 — Lucia produces the lasso in her hag form and beheads a gambler-mimic with it, the loop's portal removing whatever passes through it before the yank severs the rest.
