Satan
Country boss · owner of Satan's Water Park
The country boss of the Satan's Water Park race track, and not the devil anyone expects: a kaiju-sized male hedgehog with a plummy British accent who owns the park and lounges near its exit. He is invulnerable and is not a boss anyone is meant to fight — instead every fully enclosed tube on the track drains straight into him, which is how a racer learns they took the wrong path. He spends the race heckling the field, and when he rolls over the slides fixed to his body twist with him and a loaded roller coaster comes apart, to which he offers no refunds. Carl is told his young were mobs on the first or second floor, and infant versions of him guard the waterworks under the park.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 45 — Louis Santiago 2 name-drops him in party chat as the Satan guy who keeps worrying aloud about where the waterslide tubes lead.
- Chapter 48 — Carl's track briefing reveals Satan is an invulnerable kaiju-sized hedgehog country boss who owns the park, lounges near the exit and swallows anyone who takes an enclosed tube. Princess Donut refuses to let the subject drop. He laughs a tow truck through the arch as Carl waits on the line.
- Chapter 49 — Comments on the carnage from the far end of the park, then rolls onto his back — the slides attached to him twist with the movement and a distant roller coaster full of riders breaks apart and falls. He grumbles that there are no refunds.
- Chapter 50 — Turns his giant dark eyes on the loop attraction, announces that this bores him, and headbutts the whole structure over - swatting Florin's tuk-tuk and team Sparkles' vine out of the air mid-loop and burying Carl's truck in burning debris.
