Crew and Upgrade Rules
Floor 10 · Pit regulations
The tenth floor's pit rules, laid out by Hedy in the Royal Court's garage. A team may add up to three mercenaries per heat, hired from a bar out in Hungry Eyes or drawn from mercenaries already under contract on the same terms; the truck is regenerated back to its start-of-race form at the end of every heat; and no home-built magic upgrade is allowed outside the official list. That list runs past a thousand options, with a Golden tier Carl cannot even view — the heat winner may take one Golden upgrade or three ordinary ones, so placing badly narrows what a team is offered. Hedy allows that a plain mechanical driving rig for Donut is fair game, but nothing resembling the official upgrades can be built at the engineering table.
