Lucky Shot (Four-Leaf-Clover Patch)

A small jacket patch showing a foot crushing down a set of four-leaf clovers. The benefit it imparts, Lucky Shot, redirects a fatal blow into the body of a party member instead, once per floor. Carl sews it on above the Midnight Epicure patch on the safe-room table that is currently Mordecai, while Donut objects to the stitching, the angle and the decision to start a new row before finishing the last one, and states that she will not have her former party members looking like they are homeless. Carl says he is taking the patch off the second he has used it. He is still wearing it when he leaves the party a chapter later.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 89 — Carl lays out a patch, a gun, a sewing kit and a holster and sews the clover patch above the Midnight Epicure one, with Donut supervising badly; the benefit deflects a fatal blow into a party member, once per floor.
• Chapter 90 — Still on Carl's jacket, unused, when he leaves the Royal Court of Princess Donut and stops having a party at all.
• Chapter 96 — The patch activates on the incineration spell that would have killed Carl instantly and hands the attack to his party member Penny instead — which is precisely what turns Taranis on his own brother.
