Chiyome

A level 80 Razor Fox and one of the three racers of The Wild Hunt. She introduces herself by somersaulting into the roundabout in a red bodysuit and a bandolier of throwing stars and holding her nunchucks over her head, which turns out to be a team casting of Size Up rather than a greeting. With it done she pulls back her cowl, guzzles four of Radoslav's beers, asks for something stronger, corrects Donut on hyena biology, and proposes that the two teams work together against the first three garages.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 12 — The System will not examine her through the suit, so Carl has to read her stat box off her exposed eyes; she is unapologetic about having scanned the whole cul-de-sac first.
• Chapter 18 — Chiyome's giant bear mount is the second half of Carl's starting-line plan: once the Danforth bolt roots Rapture, the bear is to smash the car out from under her.
• Chapter 20 — Chiyome throws fire into the far boss's pouch and takes a large chunk of its health, then messages that their efforts are futile because it heals fast and its only weak spot is inside the pouch.
