Team Flamengo

The crawler team Carl draws as his new opponent: Osvaldo and Filipe L riding Bruna the Slaughter Gnu, with a dwarf mercenary and a crossbow in a basket behind them. Both survivors of a Brazilian team whittled down over recent floors, both built on a single stat, and both worshippers of Tupa.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 40 — Pulls up to the starting block as the heat's unknown new team; Carl's heart sinks, because from here it is his crew or theirs.
• Chapter 51 — Takes third place in the fourth heat.
• Chapter 66 — Placed third in the fifth heat, one ahead of the Royal Court.
• Chapter 77 — Takes third place in the sixth heat and survives it.
• Chapter 79 — With Filipe gone and most of Osvaldo's friends dead or departed, Team Flamengo went into the final heat as one man on a gnu, drawn against Carl and Donut and Team Sparkles.
• Chapter 83 — Team Three, Team Flamengo, is eliminated with the death of its last racer, and the System tells Carl's team they are the sole remaining team in their heat.
